In 2021, this is the week for celebrating Purim!
Purim commemorates the salvation of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian empire from Haman’s plot to annihilate them all in a single day. It is said that Haman threw lots to determine on what day he would carry out his plan. Literally Purim means “lots” in ancient Persian.
