Where to get travel ideas? I get most of my travel ideas from the Travel Section of the Sunday newspaper and from engaging well-travelled people. It was in the Travel Section where I found a day trip to work on a cranberry farm – my favorite part was pulling out the frogs as we raked the cranberries toward the vacuum-like conveyor pipe. It was from asking travelled people about their favorite destinations that I attended the colorful Naadaam Festival in Mongolia where I learned about bone throwing competitions.
My suggestion is to work at being ever open to new ideas and opportunities to try something different. You never know just where they will be lurking or what next question might lead you onward.
